Rigging and Loading

Atlas has developed solid relationships with industry experts to provide the most qualified rigging and crane services available. To ensure success, our specialists consult with each client early in the project to determine the unique handling requirements for each shipment, as well as with our own in-house experts to incorporate proper lift and tie-down points into the cargo design. Leading crane and rigging companies are also consulted in advance to develop solutions that meet all cargo handling requirements.

Serving as your on-site representation throughout the project, Atlas also specializes in evaluating the crane capacities of related carriers and ports in advance, and can arrange the required crane and rigging services at origin and destination.

To ensure a safe, on-time and incident-free shipment, Atlas plans for project success via the following measures:

• Conducting detailed, country-specific port, route and bridge surveys and site reports to identify challenges and manage them in advance
• Reviewing the market to find the right carriers and partners
• Preparing lift plans and tie-down recommendations
• Analyzing the shipment to determine whether outside dimensions and weight per piece can be reduced, which may allow us to expand carrier and routing options and to minimize transport and handling costs
• Providing on-site representation during loading and unloading.
